For any teacher, the difference between a smooth, well-structured lesson and a chaotic one usually comes down to preparation, clarity, and access to the right materials. Relief Resources exists to make that part of the job easier, faster, and more effective.

We’re an online store dedicated to supplying high-quality Australian teaching resources. From editable worksheets and classroom displays to slide decks, units of work, literacy tasks, and assessment activities all our teaching material is tailored to the Australian Curriculum and the realities of Australian classrooms.

While we mostly specialise in high school English resources, you will find resources for a wide range of teaching contexts. Whether you’re a primary teacher, high school English teacher, casual relief teacher, special education teacher, or part of your school’s leadership team, Relief Resources provides curriculum-aligned resources designed to save you time, elevate the quality of your lessons, and support students in developing stronger literacy and analytical skills.

What We Do

Relief Resources specialises in digital downloads that are ready to use, editable, and built around evidence-based teaching practice. Every resource is created with the Australian curriculum in mind and designed for clarity, rigour, and classroom practicality. Our collections include:

1. Worksheets and Printable Resources

Clear, well-structured worksheets that focus on literacy, textual analysis, vocabulary building, essay writing skills and creative writing skills. These resources are ideal for explicit instruction or independent tasks and are fully editable, allowing you to tailor tasks to your specific class.

2. Classroom Displays and Organisation

We design engaging, professional classroom displays that support primary teachers and special education teachers in setting up organised, welcoming and visually consistent learning spaces. Our range includes tub labels, bulletin board sets, reading corner buntings, welcome buntings, birthday walls, name tags and other organisational pieces, all created to help establish classroom routines, streamline organisation and enhance the overall atmosphere of your room.

3. Slide Decks and Lesson Presentations

Our slide decks cover everything from poetry analysis to narrative structure, visual literacy, creative writing prompts, and deep-dive text studies. Each slide pack is crafted to maintain student engagement while delivering clear, structured explanations suited to a range of learning needs, including differentiated or scaffolded tasks for mixed-ability classrooms.

4. Units of Work and Lesson Sequences

We offer full units and multi-lesson sequences that come complete with learning intentions, success criteria, check-in tasks, explicit teaching content, modelled examples, guided practice, and independent tasks. These are built using a high-impact teaching framework and are particularly useful for high school English faculties looking for curriculum-aligned support.

5. Casual Relief Teaching Resources

For casual or relief teachers looking for reliable, low-prep materials, our store includes a growing number of grab-and-go lessons that align with curriculum standards while being easy to implement at short notice.

Why We Started

Relief Resources was created to solve a problem that every teacher knows too well: the overwhelming amount of time spent outside the classroom planning lessons, sourcing materials, and creating resources from scratch. As any teacher can tell you, juggling the workload without an effective system or collection of resources can become unmanageable.

The business was founded by a high school English and special education teacher who understands the genuine demands of the job. Having worked across mainstream schools, SSPs, EAL/D and CRT contexts, it became clear that teachers needed resources that were:

  • High-quality and curriculum-aligned

  • Editable and adaptable to allow for differentiation

  • Visually engaging and professional

  • Time-saving without compromising rigour

  • Designed for real Australian classrooms, not generic mass-produced templates from international companies.

Editable resources allow you tailor resources to suit your students' needs.

Relief Resources was built to fill that gap. The store offers materials grounded in sound pedagogy, clear literacy instruction, and practical scaffolds that genuinely support learning. Everything available has been shaped by direct classroom experience: the challenges, the time pressures, and the need to maintain high expectations while managing diverse student abilities.
